The Olivieri Institution of Pesaro, administrator of the Oliveriani Library and Archaeological Museums, takes its name from the erudite patron of the arts from Pesaro Annibale degli Abbati Olivieri Giordani (1708-1789), who assigned a significant portion of his income to the community, thus giving rise to the “Oliveriana Congregation”.

The Institution, responsible for the conservation of the archaeological, museum and book assets entrusted to its care, simultaneously provides for the performance of a range of activities for their enhancement and use, promoting – on its own at the Palazzo Almerici or in collaboration with local administrations in different locations – the realization of debates, conferences, seminars, as well as study conventions and exhibitions of high cultural level.

The Olivieri Institution, for the function carried out in every field of educational and cultural activities at local, regional and national level, has obtained the recognition of “Institution of notable cultural interest” from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, which also allows it to benefit from the provisions provided on a national scale in this regard.
